Scope of Work

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the pre-commissioning phase of a subsea pipeline project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry, particularly in subsea pipeline pre-commissioning. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Establish clear communication channels and ensure all parties are informed of project status and changes.


Execution and Monitoring:

  • Lead the execution of the pre-commissioning activities, including pipeline cleaning, gauging, hydro-testing, dewatering, drying, and leak testing.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements.


Quality and Safety Management:

  • Implement and enforce strict quality control and assurance procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits and inspections, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.


Budget and Cost Control:

  • Manage project budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and clients.
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates and terms.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues within the team promptly and effectively.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to clients and senior management.
  • Address any client concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project management within the oil and gas industry, specifically in subsea pipeline pre-commissioning.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of subsea pipeline systems, pre-commissioning processes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
