Job Overview
The Senior Process Engineer will oversee and manage process engineering activities for the FPSO project. This role is critical for ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of topsides process systems, including oil separation, gas treatment, and water injection systems. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the process design for FPSO topsides systems, ensuring efficiency and alignment with project goals.
- Conduct and validate process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, PRO II, or similar software to ensure optimal system performance.
- Participate in HAZOP/HAZID reviews and ensure all process designs comply with safety and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and the hull engineering team to manage interfaces.
- Review and approve Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement teams, participate in technical evaluations of vendor bids, and review vendor documentation.
- Optimize process systems during design, commissioning, and operation phases to ensure reliable and safe performance.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to project stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 7-10 years of process engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in FPSO or offshore oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS and PRO II.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) are preferred.
- Knowledge of FPSO safety and regulatory requirements, including API, ASME, and ISO standards.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
- Ensure precision and compliance in all engineering deliverables.
