Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marine Controller to support marine assurance, logistics, and offshore marine coordination for a Jack-Up Rig campaign. The role focuses on ensuring safe rig moves, marine operations compliance, and continuous interface with client marine teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily marine operations for the Jack-Up unit, including vessel movements, towing, positioning, and rig move preparations.
- Ensure compliance with marine standards, Class rules, and client requirements for rig operations.
- Monitor site conditions (weather, tides, seabed data) and advise on operational readiness.
- Assist with Marine Risk Assessments, Tow Plans, JRA, and audit preparations.
- Review and verify vessel certification, marine assurance documentation, and competence of marine crews.
- Lead marine interface with:
- Rig Manager / OIM
- Marine warranty surveyors
- Marine logistics team
- Support vessels
- Participate in DP/FMEA follow-ups, marine inspections, and emergency response coordination.
- Provide daily marine reports and deviation alerts.
Requirements
- Minimum 10–15 years offshore marine operations experience.
- Previous experience supporting Jack-Up rigs (mandatory).
- COC (Deck) Class 1 or Class 2 preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anchor handling, positioning, towing, and jack-up operations.
- Familiar with OVID, IMCA, ISM, COLREG, and Flag/Class requirements.
- Experience working with major operators (Shell/PETRONAS/International) is an advantage.
