Our client is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis for a brownfield project at a client’s plant in Kerteh. The successful candidate will support the EPCC contractor during the detailed design phase. This position is ideal for candidates with 5–7 years of process engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in brownfield and plant modification projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering support throughout the detailed design phase of a brownfield project.
- Develop and review key deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, calculations, and line sizing.
- Ensure process designs meet project specifications, operational requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in process safety reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, etc.) and incorporate action items into the design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, etc.) to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and provide engineering input to ensure constructability and operability.
- Engage with the EPCC contractor and client representatives to ensure timely delivery of process engineering deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on brownfield and modification projects.
- Strong understanding of EPCC project workflows and the detailed design phase.
- Proficient in process engineering tools such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent simulation software.
- Familiar with relevant industry codes and standards (API, ASME, IEC, etc.).
- Good knowledge of process safety and operational requirements.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to be based full-time in Kerteh, Terengganu for the contract duration.
