Job Description: Senior Process Safety Engineer (PMC Project) Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Duration: 6 months during FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phase, followed by 3 years if FID (Final Investment Decision) is made to proceed with the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) phase. Company Overview: We are a renowned Project Management Consultancy (PMC) firm specializing in the energy sector. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our team for a significant Onshore LNG Plant project in Jakarta. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring process safety compliance and implementing risk management measures throughout the project. Responsibilities: 1. Provide expert technical leadership in process safety engineering for the Onshore LNG Plant project. 2. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement process safety strategies, standards, and guidelines in compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. 3. Conduct thorough hazard identification studies (HAZID), hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), and quantitative risk assessments (QRA) to identify and mitigate process safety risks. 4. Review and evaluate process design documents, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), process flow diagrams, and safety instrumented system (SIS) specifications, to ensure compliance with process safety requirements. 5. Perform process safety analyses, including consequence modeling, fire and explosion analysis, and toxic gas dispersion modeling, using appropriate software and tools. 6. Develop and review process safety documents, including safety reports, safety cases, emergency response plans, and procedures. 7. Conduct safety audits and inspections to monitor and assess process safety performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. 8. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and contractors in implementing process safety measures, including management of change (MOC) procedures. 9. Participate in project risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation measures. 10. Collaborate with client representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination regarding process safety matters. 11. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous. 2. Minimum 5 years of experience in process safety engineering, with a strong background in EPC projects, preferably in the Onshore LNG Plant sector. 3. Familiarity with shipbuilding projects such as FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), FSRU (Floating 4. Storage Regasification Unit), or FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) is highly desirable. 5. In-depth knowledge of process safety codes, standards, and best practices, such as API, NFPA, and IEC. 6. Proficiency in using process safety software and tools, such as PHA-Pro, PHAST, FLACS, and consequence modeling software. 7. Strong understanding of process design, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and safety instrumented systems. 8. Extensive experience in conducting hazard identification studies (HAZID), hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), and quantitative risk assessments (QRA). 9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate process safety risks. 10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. 11. Willingness to travel to the project site as required.
