Project Type: FLNG Location: Shanghai, offices at first and then shipyards Duration: January 2024 until June 2026 Job Summary: • The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities for Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. • This role will involve establishing and implementing QA/QC processes, conducting inspections and audits, and providing technical support to project teams. • The position will initially be based in Shanghai, with responsibilities transitioning to onsite presence at shipyards during project execution. Job Responsibilities: • Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure that project deliverables meet specified quality standards and requirements. • Establish inspection criteria and acceptance criteria for materials, equipment, and construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry best practices. • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities, installations, and documentation to verify compliance with QA/QC requirements and identify areas for improvement. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to address quality issues, resolve non-conformities, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. • Manage and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and quality assurance records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability for record-keeping and reporting purposes. • Interface with client representatives, regulatory authorities, and third-party inspectors to facilitate QA/QC audits, inspections, and approvals, ensuring project compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards. • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on QA/QC matters, interpreting technical specifications, standards, and regulations, and recommending solutions to quality-related challenges. • Conduct training and awareness programs for project teams and subcontractors on QA/QC procedures, requirements, and best practices, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC management, with a focus on FLNG, FPSO, or FSO projects. • Proven track record of successfully implementing QA/QC processes and procedures for large-scale construction projects, preferably in the oil and gas industry. • Strong technical knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles, methods, and techniques, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and standards. • Experience conducting inspections, audits, and assessments of construction activities, materials, and installations to verify compliance with QA/QC requirements. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. • Proficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting tools, including inspection software, databases, and spreadsheets. • Familiarity with international codes, standards, and regulations governing quality management and offshore operations. • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin preferred. • Willingness to travel and work onsite at shipyards during project execution. • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
