Construction Superintendent - Shanghai, China

Location: Shanghai, China (with occasional assignments at offices and shipyards) Duration: January 2024 - June 2026 Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas) projects in Shanghai, China. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and supervising construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: ● Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. ● Coordinate with various project stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and subcontractors. ● Oversee day-to-day construction activities at both office and shipyard locations. ● Monitor progress and quality of construction work, ensuring compliance with project specifications. ● Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. ● Possess a strong understanding of FLNG, FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), FSO (Floating Storage and Offloading), Topsides, Hull, and related construction techniques. ● Provide technical guidance and solutions to construction challenges. ● Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds project specifications. ● Conduct inspections and audits to identify and address any deviations from quality standards. ● Work closely with the Construction Manager to ensure smooth operations and efficient utilization of resources. ● Provide leadership and direction to construction teams, including supervisors, engineers, and technicians. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. ● Proven experience in supervising construction projects, preferably in the FLNG, FPSO, or FSO sector for at least 8 years. ● Solid knowledge of Topsides and Hull construction processes and techniques. ● Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. ● Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. ● Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
