Scope of work
Position Overview:
You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing your expertise to the mechanical
design, engineering, and execution phases of the FLNG project. Reporting directly to the
Lead Engineer, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the
successful integration of mechanical systems in line with industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
● Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the Oil and Gas
industry.
● Proven expertise in FLNG, FPSO, FSO, Topsides, and Hull systems.
● Familiarity with relevant international standards and codes.
● Strong project management and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
● Contribute to the mechanical design and engineering activities for the FLNG project,
ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into the
overall project design.
● Provide technical expertise in the planning, execution, and commissioning phases of
the project.
● Ensure that mechanical systems are installed and commissioned according to project
specifications.
● Utilise in-depth knowledge of FLNG systems, including Topsides and Hull, to drive
engineering excellence.
● Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to optimise overall project
performance.
● Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the reliability and integrity of
mechanical systems.
● Conduct inspections and assessments during various project stages.
● Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with mechanical systems.
● Provide technical guidance to resolve issues and challenges proactively.
Working Environment:
● Initial phase: Office-based in Shanghai.
● Later phase: On-site at shipyards for project execution.
