Project Type: FLNG Location: Shanghai, offices at first and then shipyards Duration: January 2024 until June 2026 Job Summary: • The Construction Manager will oversee all construction activities for Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. • This role will involve managing construction teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and overseeing on-site construction activities at shipyards. • The position will initially be based in Shanghai, with responsibilities transitioning to onsite presence at shipyards during project execution. Job Responsibilities: • Manage and supervise construction teams to ensure efficient execution of project activities in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of construction activities with project milestones. • Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets to meet project objectives within established timelines and cost constraints. • Oversee the selection, qualification, and management of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards. • Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays or deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure project milestones are met. • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations, addressing any non-conformities or safety hazards promptly. • Manage project documentation, including construction drawings, specifications, permits, and approvals, ensuring accuracy and completeness for record-keeping and reporting purposes. • Interface with client representatives, regulatory authorities, and third-party inspectors to address project requirements and resolve construction-related issues. • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, resolving technical challenges and facilitating knowledge transfer between departments. • Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on FLNG, FPSO, or FSO projects. • Proven track record of successfully managing construction activities for large-scale projects, preferably in the oil and gas industry. • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. • Familiarity with international codes, standards, and regulations governing construction and offshore operations. • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin preferred. • Willingness to travel and work onsite at shipyards during project execution. • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
