Scope of Work

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in major oil and gas production projects, with at least 2 years in a senior position developing offshore EPCIC cost estimates during the FEED phase. The candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of cost estimating practices, particularly those outlined by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE). Additionally, proficiency in MS Excel and experience in developing contingency factors through Cost Estimate Risk Assessment methods such as Montecarlo simulation is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:

  - Develop accurate and reliable cost estimates for offshore EPCIC projects during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase.

  - Utilize industry-standard practices and methodologies, including the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and composite Unit Price development.

  - Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.

  - Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and constraints.

  - Provide guidance and expertise on cost estimation matters to project managers and stakeholders.

  - Participate in project risk assessment activities, contributing insights into cost-related risks and mitigation strategies.

  - Prepare detailed cost estimates, including breakdowns and justifications, for management review and decision-making purposes.

  - Maintain accurate records of cost estimation data and methodologies used for future reference.

  - Generate reports and presentations to communicate cost estimates and associated risks to stakeholders.

  - Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to cost estimation.

  - Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in cost estimation methodologies.

  - Proactively contribute to the development and enhancement of cost estimation tools and templates.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering-related field or a Construction Management degree.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in major oil and gas production projects.

- At least 2 years of experience in a senior position developing offshore EPCIC cost estimates during the FEED phase.

- Strong understanding of cost estimating practices as outlined by AACE.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and perform advanced data analysis.

- Experience in developing contingency factors through Cost Estimate Risk Assessment methods, such as Montecarlo simulation, is preferred.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable cost estimates.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
