Scope of work
Position Summary : Installation Engineer
o This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of the FPSO Engineering Design and the planning, preparation and execution of the transport, installation and riser and umbilical hook-up (TI) of the PROJECT FPSO. The FPSO Engineering and Transportation& Installation Manager;
o Manages a multidiscipline project engineering team located at the contractor main engineering site
o Manages the delivery and assurance of FPSO Transportation, Installation and Riser and Umbilical Hook-up activities including mooring system
Key Accountabilities
o Provide safety and quality leadership for both the Company and Contractor project teams and be a visible role model for the Company safety culture.
o Develop and implement engineering management programs to ensure FPSO project team and contractor adhere to contract standards & industry best practice and utilization of lessons learned.
o Work with the FPSO EPCIC contractor and Company subsea and contractor teams to develop the TI offshore scope including; workpacks, permits, rosters, training and competency.
o Interface with FPSO teams, HSEQ, IVB, MWS, SSPL teams, and contractors as required to ensure stakeholder alignment.
o Assure that PROJECT FPSO contractors are compliant with the regulatory, project engineering design, quality of engineering, TI requirements embedded in the contract.
o Ensure functionality and capability is available to support potential FPSO Accommodation Support Vessel (ASV) operations as part of planning, design and Contract award.
o Staff the execute phase engineering and TI team(s).
Key Responsibilities
o Responsible for assuring compliance with the FPSO Functional Specification and project Basis of Design; and adherence to Company Standards, Procedures, Specifications, Practices and Guidelines through the entire project.
o Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, Engineering Design, Constructability, PFD, P&ID, risk and 3D Model Reviews as necessary
o Ensure rapid response to technical queries, technical deviations requests and contractor change requests during detailed design, construction and commissioning phases.
o Provide engineering and TI resources to witness and verify Factory and Site Acceptance Testing, as required.
o Participate in prequalification surveys, technical evaluation and audit of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
o Participate in regular cross functional interface management workshops with FPSO contractor(s), Company and contractor subsea teams.
o Provide TI resources for preparation for sailaway, material logistics and ASV planning, if required.
o Ensure that FPSO “ready for sailaway” milestone is achieved for transportation operations.
o Support construction and commissioning teams throughout the execute phase of the project.
o Provide regular updates to PROJECT project management.
o Participate in project audits as requested by PROJECT project management.
o Participate in project risk management process, including identification and closing out of risks.
o Provide input and necessary support for Safety Case development.

Additional HSE Responsibilities
o Apply safety in design principles, including consideration of safety through the fabrication, testing, installation and operation phases.
o Ensure PROJECT safety principles are adhered to by equipment vendors.
Experience & Qualification Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology or a related technical field, naval architecture, physics or chemistry
o Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering management on major upstream facilities or capital projects
o Experience in managing TIHU for FPSO or FLNG projects
o Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills
o Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving
o Willingness and ability to travel to support project needs
Preferred:
o Previous experience on FPSO or FLNG projects
o Highly effective communication skills and ability to develop and present management reports at all levels
o Previous experience working on international, interdisciplinary teams on major capital projects
