Job description

The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in using SP3D software for designing piping systems and will be proficient in other relevant software. The role involves working on both offshore and onshore projects, ensuring designs meet industry standards and project specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed piping designs and layouts for both onshore and offshore projects using SP3D software.
  • Create and modify 3D models of piping systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Prepare piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Utilize SP3D for all piping design activities; knowledge of other design software (such as AutoCAD, PDMS, and CADWorx) is a plus.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems with other project components.
  • Coordinate with project managers and lead engineers to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, including material specifications, fabrication drawings, and installation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all design work.
  • Conduct design reviews and verifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes to uphold the highest standards of design integrity.
  • Provide technical support during the construction and installation phases, including site visits as necessary.
  • Assist in resolving any design-related issues that arise during project execution.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or a related field.
  • 2-8 years of experience in piping design within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven experience with SP3D software is essential; familiarity with additional design tools (AutoCAD, PDMS, CADWorx) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of piping design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent technical drawing and 3D modelling skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
