Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our team for a FEED (Front End Engineering Design) project focused on an onshore LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) plant. As a Senior Process Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring process safety excellence during the FEED phase of the project. Candidates with experience in FEED and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects in the onshore LNG sector, as well as shipbuilding projects like FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit), or FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading), are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: 1. Lead the development and execution of process safety activities during the FEED phase of the onshore LNG plant project. 2. Review and analyze process design, hazard identification studies, and process safety assessments to ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and best practices. 3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process safety considerations into the overall project scope, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction. 4. Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA), consequence assessments, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks. 5. Lead the review and approval of process safety-related engineering deliverables, including process flow diagrams, process and instrument diagrams, and safety instrumented systems. 6. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior process safety engineers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the team. 7. Participate in design reviews, safety audits, and process safety workshops to address and resolve process safety concerns and issues. 8. Interface with external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and third-party consultants, on matters related to process safety. 9. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in process safety engineering. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety engineering within the onshore LNG sector, including FEED and EPC projects. 3. Experience in shipbuilding projects such as FLNG, FSRU, or FPSO is highly desirable. 4. Strong knowledge of process safety principles, hazard identification techniques, and risk assessment methodologies. 5. Proficiency in process safety software and tools, such as PHA software and consequence modeling tools. 6. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as API RP 752, API RP 753, and NFPA 59A. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to process safety challenges. 9. Familiarity with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and practices in the oil and gas industry. 10. Professional certifications related to process safety, such as Certified Process Safety Professional (CCPSC), are a plus.
