Scope of work
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) engineering, SPS (Subsea Production Systems) design, and Xmas trees engineering. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge subsea infrastructure in the energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the subsea engineering aspects of greenfield projects, including SURF and SPS engineering design for subsea installations at a depth of 300 meters.
- Provide expert technical guidance in the design, layout, and philosophy of subsea systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive engineering solutions, considering technical feasibility, safety, environmental impact, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage project deliverables, including layout designs, technical philosophies, and engineering specifications.
- Participate in concept selection and optimization processes, evaluating various design alternatives to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analysis to ensure subsea infrastructure meets the highest safety standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate project progress, address technical queries, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Subsea, Offshore Engineering).
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in subsea engineering, including substantial hands-on experience with SURF engineering, SPS design, and Xmas trees engineering.
- Proven track record in contributing to greenfield design projects, particularly in subsea installations at depths of 300 meters.
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to subsea engineering and offshore installations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Additional Information:
- Project Type: Greenfield design, subsea installations at a depth of 300 meters.
- Deliverables: Layout designs, technical philosophies, engineering specifications.
- Software: Proficiency in relevant engineering software is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Duration: Initial 2 months (pre-FEED) followed by 3 months (FEED) with the possibility of extension.
