Scope of work
Project Description: This role involves participation in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) project for the design and construction of a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in the design, optimization, and execution of FLNG process systems, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Prepare and deliver process design deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process simulations, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing calculations.
Lead and participate in process-related hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, process safety management (PSM) activities, and risk analysis.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project management teams, and client representatives to ensure alignment and meet project objectives.
Provide input to procurement activities, including the review and approval of supplier documentation, ensuring that all equipment and materials are fit for purpose, meet project specifications, and are delivered on schedule.
Support the construction and commissioning teams by providing advice and solutions to any process engineering problems.
Mentor and train junior process engineers and other members of the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to build overall project capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years in the LNG/FLNG industry.
Proven experience in working on PMC projects, preferably related to FLNG.
Proficiency with process simulation software such as HYSYS, Pro II, or similar.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant engineering standards and regulations.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to problem-solve effectively and make decisions under pressure.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
