Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our prestigious PMC (Project Management Consultant) project team in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in onshore LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) plant projects and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Experience in shipbuilding, particularly in FLNG (Floating LNG), FSRU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit), or FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) projects, will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep technical knowledge and expertise in civil and structural engineering to provide guidance, support, and review during the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations related to onshore LNG plant construction.
2. Design Review: Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations prepared by contractors, consultants, and vendors. Ensure that designs are optimized, cost-effective, and align with project requirements.
3. FEED Stage: Contribute to the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stage of the project by participating in design workshops, providing input on constructability, and identifying potential risks or challenges. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
4. Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical documents, including design basis, design reports, construction drawings, material specifications, and technical specifications. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards of engineering deliverables. Conduct quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with established standards.
6. Project Coordination: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate effective communication and smooth project execution. Resolve technical queries and provide technical support as required.
7. Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, including reviewing construction methods, resolving design-related issues, and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications will be considered a plus.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC projects, specifically in onshore LNG plant construction. Experience in shipbuilding projects such as FLNG, FSRU, or FPSO will be advantageous.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil and structural engineering design, analysis, and calculations. Familiarity with relevant software tools and industry standards.
4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of onshore LNG plant design and construction principles, codes, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of relevant international standards and practices is preferred.
5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues in a timely and efficient manner. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
7. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers. Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Flexibility: Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel and work at project sites, as required.
