Scope of work

Key Responsibilities: Rotating Equipment Design: Lead the mechanical design and specification of rotating equipment packages. Provide technical expertise in the selection and sizing of pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery. Vendor Management: Interface with equipment suppliers and manufacturers to ensure compliance with project specifications. Evaluate technical bids, conduct vendor assessments, and participate in supplier selection. Procurement: Develop procurement strategies for rotating equipment packages. Oversee the procurement process, including bid evaluations, negotiation, and contract award. Installation and Commissioning: Coordinate the installation and commissioning of rotating equipment. Work closely with construction teams to ensure proper installation and alignment of machinery. Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies for rotating equipment. Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues during operation. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all rotating equipment adheres to industry standards, codes, and project specifications. Conduct quality inspections and audits as necessary. Project Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including process engineers, instrumentation engineers, and electrical engineers. Coordinate with project managers to ensure that rotating equipment activities align with project schedules and budgets. Engineering Documentation: Prepare and review engineering documentation, including equipment datasheets, specifications, and technical reports. Maintain accurate records of equipment specifications, drawings, and technical documentation. HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards. Implement safety procedures during equipment installation and commissioning. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience: Significant experience (typically 8-10 years or more) in mechanical engineering roles with a focus on rotating equipment within industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, or power generation. Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role.
