Our client is a leading player in the oil and gas industry, specializing in the design, construction, and operation of FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading), FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), and MOPU (Mobile Offshore Production Unit) facilities. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Material Engineer to join our dynamic team. Position Summary: As a Piping Material Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of piping systems on our offshore facilities, including FPSOs, FLNGs, and MOPUs. You will play a crucial role in the selection, specification, and procurement of piping materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and applicable codes. This position requires a strong technical background in piping systems, along with expertise in offshore operations and the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed engineering studies and analysis of piping systems, including material selection, stress analysis, and corrosion control. - Develop and maintain piping material specifications, ensuring compliance with international standards and industry best practices. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, structural engineers, and procurement specialists, to ensure seamless integration of piping systems into overall facility design. - Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure the integrity and reliability of piping systems throughout the project lifecycle. - Evaluate bids and proposals from suppliers, ensuring compliance with project requirements and technical specifications. - Monitor and assess the performance of piping materials in offshore environments, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation measures. - Conduct regular inspections and audits of piping systems to ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations. - Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities, troubleshooting any issues that arise. - Stay updated with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to piping materials and offshore operations. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on piping systems and offshore operations. - In-depth knowledge of piping materials, corrosion control, and international piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API 5L, ASTM). - Familiarity with FPSOs, FLNGs, and MOPUs, including their design, construction, and operation. - Proficient in using engineering software and tools for stress analysis, material selection, and piping design (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoCAD, PDS). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. - Proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions within budget and schedule constraints. - Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship in the oil and gas industry.
