About The Job
Main Accountabilities;
● Preparation, scribing and reporting risk workshops (some or all of HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Safety
Design, ALARP, LOPA, Bow Tie workshops)
● Preparation of risk analysis studies (qualitative, semi-quantitative, quantitative) and formal
safety assessment (FSA) studies, including MAE screening, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis,
Non Flammable Risk Analysis (Dropped Object Risk, Ship Collision Risk, Occupational Risk,
Structural Risk), Escape Temporary Refuge, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis, Emergency
Systems Survivability Analysis, ALARP Evaluations
Technical Requirement
● Safety engineering skills within specialty areas.
● Understanding of oil and gas risk and safety related codes and standards
● Preparation of safety cases and / or safety reports, including Facility Description, Safety
Management System Description, FSA Description, Hazard Registers, Bow tie Diagrams
● Experience in oil and gas systems such as fixed and floating production systems, subsea
pipelines, drilling, onshore pipelines, onshore processing plants, offshore construction
facilities, offshore accommodation facilities commensurate with project experience
● Experience in project development phases such as front end and concept studies, FEED,
detailed design, installation hookup and commissioning, operations, brownfield and greenfield
projects, decommissioning and abandonment commensurate with project experience.
Project Management
● Understanding project schedules and Gantt Charts
● Delivery of assigned tasks on time and on budget
● Early warning of task overruns, prior to overrun
● Comply with Genesis business administration systems including GEOS, GWMS and GBPMS
● Collaboration and cooperation with other Genesis personnel
Consultancy / Client Service Delivery
● Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on high quality report
generation and ability to clearly explain technical solutions
About You
Qualifications & Experience:
● Degree in Chemical Engineering essential
● Master in Chemical Engineering will be an added advantage
● 5 to 8 years of experience in risk and safety in oil and gas or a similarly hazardous industry
● Malaysian Nationals preferred
