Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer with extensive background in the offshore oil & gas sector. The successful candidate will be part of our dedicated engineering team working on a state-of-the-art FPSO project.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed design and engineering analysis of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, and gearboxes.
Review and optimize mechanical equipment specifications to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.
Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams, ensuring equipment is procured, installed, and tested according to specifications.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety reviews, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigating measures.
Develop maintenance and operation procedures for rotating equipment.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and support the resolution of mechanical rotating equipment issues during the EPC phase.
Interface with vendors and suppliers for technical queries, inspection and testing of rotating equipment.
Provide support for commissioning and start-up activities as required.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically in FPSO projects.
Extensive experience with design, selection, installation, and maintenance of rotating equipment.
Proficient in using rotating equipment software tools.
Familiarity with international engineering standards and codes related to offshore oil and gas facilities.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
