Scope of work
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer with specific experience in FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading), FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), and offshore projects. The Structural Engineer will work closely with the engineering team to assist in the design and analysis of structural components for various offshore structures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of offshore engineering.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to develop detailed design specifications and requirements for structural components of offshore projects, including FPSOs and FLNGs.
2. Assist in the creation of 2D and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software, adhering to project guidelines and industry standards.
3. Conduct structural analyses and calculations using industry-standard software to evaluate the performance, stability, and safety of offshore structures.
4. Assist in the preparation of design reports, technical documents, and engineering drawings related to structural components.
5. Support the drafting team in producing accurate and detailed structural drawings based on design specifications and engineering calculations.
6. Collaborate with other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and piping, to ensure effective coordination and integration of design elements.
7. Participate in design review meetings, providing input and suggestions to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, constructability, and performance.
8. Assist in the selection and specification of appropriate construction materials and methods for offshore structures.
9. Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to structural design and offshore engineering.
Qualifications:
