Seeking for an experienced Lead Project Planner to oversee critical aspects of a newly awarded PMC project in the oil and gas industry.

Job Summary:

The Lead Project Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules for a Greenfield Onshore Refinery project in Singapore. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industries, the successful candidate will lead the planning function to ensure timely execution of project activities, resource optimization, and adherence to project milestones and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of all project activities.

- Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and other stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.

- Conduct schedule risk assessments and analyses to identify potential schedule impacts, critical paths, and mitigation strategies, and communicate findings to project teams and management.

- Monitor progress against the project schedule, analyze schedule variances, and recommend corrective actions to address delays, conflicts, or resource constraints, ensuring alignment with project objectives and priorities.

- Facilitate schedule review meetings, progress updates, and forecasting sessions with project teams and stakeholders to track performance, identify issues, and drive decision-making to keep the project on track.

- Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate schedule performance, trends, and forecasts to project teams, management, and stakeholders.

- Implement project control processes and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of project schedule data, including baseline management, change control, and documentation management.

- Provide guidance and support to project team members on schedule-related matters, including schedule development, logic sequencing, resource loading, and progress tracking, to promote schedule adherence and accountability.

- Lead lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project planning processes, tools, and techniques, and foster a culture of efficiency and excellence within the project planning function.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in detailed design, FEED, petrochemical,

project planning, scheduling, and control within the oil and gas industries, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.

- Proficiency in project scheduling software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent, with advanced knowledge of scheduling techniques, methodologies, and best practices.

- Strong understanding of project management principles, processes, and methodologies, including project lifecycle, work breakdown structure (WBS), critical path method (CPM), and earned value management (EVM).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex schedule data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.

- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders, influence decision-making, and build consensus in a dynamic project environment.

- Proactive, results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget, while balancing competing priorities and changing requirements.

- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP) preferred.

- Authorization to work in Singapore for the duration of the contract.
