We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Estimator to join our team for prestigious Oil & Gas industry projects under Project Management Consultancy (PMC) scope. As the Senior Cost Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed budgets, and providing valuable insights to support project planning and decision-making processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring cost-effective project execution while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance within the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and oversee the cost estimation process for Oil & Gas projects, including conceptual, definitive, and detailed estimates, in alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  2. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for all project phases.
  3. Analyze project scope, technical specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  4. Conduct thorough quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor rate analysis, and subcontractor quotes to accurately quantify project costs and develop cost models.
  5. Utilize industry-standard cost estimation software tools and methodologies to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of estimates.
  6. Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analysis, and cost forecasts at regular intervals to track project performance, identify trends, and provide timely updates to project stakeholders.
  7. Participate in project risk assessments, value engineering workshops, and constructability reviews to identify cost-saving measures and mitigate potential cost overruns.
  8. Review and validate change orders, scope changes, and contractor claims, assessing their impact on project costs and schedules.
  9. Interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities as needed to address cost-related inquiries, negotiate pricing, and resolve disputes.
  10. Stay informed about market trends, material price fluctuations, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in cost estimates.
