Scope of work
Structural Design and Analysis:
Lead the structural design and analysis of FLNG topside and hull structures.
Perform detailed structural calculations, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.
Evaluate and select appropriate materials for structural components.
Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of structural solutions.
Provide technical expertise and guidance during the entire project lifecycle.
Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the structural integrity and reliability of the FLNG facility.
Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications.
Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, including process, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate structural requirements seamlessly into the overall FLNG design.
Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to optimize structural solutions.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks related to structural aspects and propose effective mitigation strategies.
Participate in safety reviews and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and construction specifications.
Maintain accurate records of design changes, analyses, and project correspondence.
