Senior Pipeline Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team for a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) project based in Jakarta. As a Senior Pipeline Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of an Onshore LNG Plant project. The initial engagement will be for 6 months during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase, with the potential for a 3-year extension if the project proceeds to the Final Investment Decision (FID) stage and subsequent Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical expertise and guidance in all aspects of pipeline engineering for the Onshore LNG Plant project.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of the project.
3. Review and evaluate pipeline design concepts, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.
4. Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments related to pipeline engineering activities.
5. Develop and review technical documents, including design basis, engineering calculations, material specifications, and construction procedures.
6. Perform hydraulic calculations, stress analysis, and simulation studies to optimize pipeline design and ensure efficient and reliable operations.
7. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to procure pipeline materials, equipment, and services as per project specifications.
8. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor pipeline installation, construction progress, and quality assurance.
9. Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies to provide input on pipeline-related matters.
10. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC projects, with a focus on pipeline engineering.
3. Strong expertise in Onshore LNG Plant projects is essential.
4. Experience in shipbuilding projects such as FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit), or FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) is highly desirable.
5. Proficiency in pipeline design codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Solid understanding of pipeline material selection, welding techniques, and construction practices.
7. Experience with pipeline integrity management, inspection, and maintenance is advantageous.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering challenges.
9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work in a multicultural environment.
10. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
