Scope of work
**Description**
Under the direct responsibility of the Project Manager, the Offshore operations Manager will play a pivotal
role in the preparation and execution of construction works for the project.
Responsibilities:
Manage all project operations both offshore and onshore in accordance with contract, QA
policy, and strict HSE requirements from the client.
Develop the construction and subcontracting strategy in collaboration with the Project
Manager/Director.
Propose work methods for specific tasks as necessary. Identifying and mitigating potential
risks and issues in project execution.
Preparing and presenting project updates to senior management.
Oversee the preparation of execution documents (method statements, risk assessments,
etc.) by the engineering department and/or construction team in a timely manner.
Plan operations, equipment, and personnel on a daily and long-term basis to maintain
project planning.
Establish and monitor construction planning and budget in concert with the Project Control
Manager.
Manage the staffing of project execution team, including barge masters, captains, package
engineers, field engineers, and subcontractors.
Coordinate the project installation operations and Verify daily reporting.
Demonstrate team leadership skills that inspire, motivate, and manage personnel.
Capable of handling a multitude of issues effectively.
**Expertise & Skilled*
- An engineer with demonstrable experience in the maritime or offshore/coastal construction
industry.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a project engineer/lead installation engineer on offshore
construction projects, including pipeline welding activities, offshore installation work, and
diving, in an international environment.
- Knowledge of standards and codes for offshore installation.
- International mobility for the construction phase at a minimum.
- Proficiency in English
- Communication and management skills
- French and Spanish are a plus
**Required Experience**
Minimum of IO years of experience as a project engineer and/or project manager on offshore
construction projects in an intemational environment.
Experience in Maritime or Offshore Oil & Gas projects is necessary.
