I have studied in three universities: St. Petersburg Mining University, Gubkin University and the University of Stavanger. Studies in all the universities were linked with offshore oil and gas industry. When I studied in St. Petersburg, I had a strong willing to learn more about frontier offshore technologies and get a job in oil platform. Because of that, I enrolled in the joint degree program with Gubkin University and the University of Stavanger.

After graduation, I got a job as an engineer in the oil production department in the Gazprom Neft Shelf, the company operating the only one arctic offshore oil field under development in Russia. At this job, I learnt important engineering skills. After completion the accidents’ investigations project (I completed 18 investigations, 6 of them lasted more than 2 years), I got a promotion. My new role was a senior specialist in the Integrating Modeling and Capacity Management Department. My main area of responsibility in this role was to develop an effective modelling process aimed at effective production management. At this role, I obtained proper modelling skills. One of the project I used to manage was the virtual flow metering project linked to the production wells. Despite the fact that this experience was essential, I realized that I should move forward and decided to get a hands-on experience at the Prirazlomnaya platform as a production technician. I have been in this role for more than 2 years and I am still impressed with sophisticated equipment I am maintaining. Because of this job, I have command knowledge in process control and process engineering. During that period, I have submitted five approved improvement proposals with economy benefit up to 4.5 million dollars. 

I really enjoy working with students, and when I am onshore and teach in the Northern Arctic Federal University in my hometown of Arkhangelsk. I am a senior lecturer and bachelor thesis supervisor. I have developed course material for two courses related to offshore in-site production treatment and offshore oil and gas field’s development.
