Job Summary:

The Drilling Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing offshore drilling operations in Indonesia for a duration of one year. The incumbent will bring expertise in offshore drilling and EPC/EPCIC projects, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of drilling activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of drilling operations in the dynamic energy sector of Indonesia.


Job Responsibilities:

1.Plan and coordinate offshore drilling operations, including well design, casing design, and drilling fluid programs, to meet project objectives and timelines.

2.Collaborate with drilling contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

3.Conduct drilling engineering studies and analyses, such as torque and drag, hydraulics, and wellbore stability, to optimize drilling performance and minimize risks.

4.Provide technical guidance and support to rig crews and onsite personnel, troubleshooting drilling-related issues and implementing solutions as needed.

5.Monitor drilling parameters and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and safety.

6.Prepare drilling programs, cost estimates, and risk assessments for proposed drilling activities, seeking input from stakeholders and subject matter experts as necessary.

7.Coordinate with other departments, such as reservoir engineering, geology, and production, to ensure alignment of drilling activities with overall project objectives.

8.Participate in drilling hazard assessments, safety meetings, and incident investigations, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

9.Maintain accurate records and documentation of drilling activities, equipment performance, and expenditures, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and audit standards.

10.Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in drilling engineering, applying knowledge to enhance drilling practices and performance.


Job Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

2.Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering, with a focus on offshore drilling and EPC/EPCIC projects.

3.Demonstrated knowledge of drilling principles, techniques, and technologies, with experience in both exploration and production drilling operations.

4.Proficiency in drilling engineering software tools, such as WellView, Landmark, or equivalent.

5.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret drilling data, diagnose issues, and develop effective solutions.

6.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

7.Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of drilling operations.

8.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams.

9.Willingness to travel and work offshore as required by project needs.
