Scope of work

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage deepwater projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, geoscientists, procurement, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and regularly monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and proactively address any issues that may arise during project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project team.
  • Manage client relationships, address client concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, and incorporate feedback into future project planning and execution.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 11-15 years of experience in project management within the energy industry, with specific experience in deepwater projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of deepwater exploration and production processes, technologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols governing deepwater projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, with the ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations as required.
