Overview
Handle electrical and mechanical systems inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support, including equipment operation and site safety adherence.
Scope of work
The Senior Technician / Technician reports to the Senior Plant Manager within the Regional Projects / our client Equipment Hub (KEH) department.
Working hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Saturday, primarily based at our client Equipment Hub and project sites across Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Thailand, and other ASEAN/South Asian markets, requiring travel to these locations. Responsibilities include:
- Adherence to site HSEQ guidelines and our client's policies and procedures.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems to identify root causes.
- Inspecting electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and components for hazards or defects and performing repairs.
- Planning wiring layouts and equipment installations per project requirements.
- Assembling, installing, and maintaining equipment and components.
- Handling tools safely and complying with workplace safety standards.
- Conducting basic equipment training for team members.
- Performing scheduled and preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Guiding and leading equipment repair activities.
- Planning spare parts inventory for electrical and mechanical components.
- Minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing performance.
- Preparing detailed service reports.
- Leading and implementing 5S initiatives to maintain workplace organization and safety.
- Operating a forklift as needed.
- Troubleshooting issues and providing technical support.
- Undertaking additional tasks assigned by superiors to support project objectives or team operations.
Working conditions include on-site and outdoor environments with varying weather. The role requires prioritizing safety and adapting to dynamic, fast-changing environments.
