Overview

Prepare detailed design drawings and documents with guidance from engineering personnel.

Scope of work

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings and design deliverables to required technical quality under guidance.
Prepare detailed design drawings/documents as per Lead Designer requirements.
Ensure drawings/documents completion within allocated hours as directed.
Ensure deliverables conform to best practices.
Maintain good relations with other disciplines and clients.
Understand department checking and approval procedures.
Maintain project discipline filing system as per company procedures.

Accountabilities

Coordinate and manage assigned tasks meeting company performance standards.

Interfaces

Internal: Senior Structural Engineer, Engineering Leads, Project Manager / Engineer.
External: Client’s Representative.

Qualifications

Diploma/Certificate in relevant Drafting Discipline from recognized institution.
Minimum 8 years’ experience as Drafter/Designer in oil & gas production facilities, petrochemical plant or related fields.
Proficient in AutoCAD, BOCAD, PDMS software.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Teamwork capability.
Knowledgeable in company/client drafting standards and quality assurance.
Able to create base design drawings with minimal input.
Able to accept delegated responsibility and control budgets.
Computer literate (database/spreadsheets).
Able to perform drafting checking as directed.
Leadership skills to motivate junior design team members.
Clear communication with engineering personnel.
Contribute to group/discipline drafting objectives.
Identify improvement opportunities relevant to drafting.
Perform full scope electrical works including preparing SLD, motor control schematics, wiring, layouts, cable schedules, MTO, and installation details.

Key requirements

Diploma/Certificate in relevant Drafting Discipline
At least 8 years experience as Drafter/Designer in oil & gas production facilities, petrochemical plant or related field
Good knowledge of AutoCAD, BOCAD & PDMS
Conversant with company/client drafting standards and quality control assurance requirements
Computer literate (database/spreadsheets)
