Over two decades of experience in design office and fieldwork combined for both offshore and onshore environments, managing related scope of work for oil and gas facilities in both green and brown field. Performed various duties and responsibilities throughout career in every facet of asset life cycle, covering engineering, construction, offshore hook-up & commissioning, plant start-up, and offshore facilities operation activities. Additionally, led a successful offshore campaign for asset’s end of life cycle, seeing through production cessation, facilities’ hydrocarbon free status, asset demobilization, field’s plug and abandonment, and decommissioning activities with occasional involvement in shutdown campaign. Recently involved in one of high capacity FPSO, executing Detailed Engineering Design for Petrobras’ P82 FPSO including procurement support and FEED verification activities, as well as involvement in FEED for Malaysia’s first CCS (Carbon Capture & Storage) facilities at Kasawari CCS. Prior to joining Ranhill-Worley, Faroak has expanded his experience in mechanical engineering and overall facilities functionality, leading overall campaign of Hook-Up & Commissioning for Mubadala’s Pegaga (SK320) until early phase of operation. End-to-End experience in mechanical equipment engineering and application, primarily in rotating and packaged equipment encompassing DED, FEED, feasibility study, HUC, O&M and asset revitalisation for topside facilities, in various roles and functions. Sound knowledge and experience with field activities including operational duties, commissioning, hands-on experience in equipment alignment, fault findings and troubleshooting. Also equipped with experience and understanding of process scheme and requirement with the knowledge of essential components of instruments, electrical and other multi-disciplines requirement. All these experience and involvement have supplemented value added knowledge to every role and function at any execution phase. Well versed in overall roles and functions in EPCIC framework, managing team of engineers executing engineering activities, procurement support, contract management, vendor package management, bid evaluation to PO issuance, fabrication, testing (FAT), inspection and delivery and hook-up commissioning & start-up, meeting the quality and delivery within the specification, schedule, and budget whilst keeping adherence to HSE values. Understand risk, change control, and interface management between disciplines, departments, and other stake holders. Capable to support tender proposals including CTR’s preparation and generation of scopes of work, and engineering studies for mechanical and HUC activities. Management experience with strengths in leadership, communication, negotiation, with the ability to provide solution to engineering and operational problems, as demonstrated among others leading field operation at Repsol’s South Angsi ‘A’, HUC at Mubadala Energy and detailed engineering for Petrobras’ P82. Good in nurturing and guiding young engineers and developing high performance team.
