Edwin Loke is Malaysian and has 21 years working experience with more than 13 of those years in service and operating companies mostly in the upstream oil and gas business. He has worked on various drilling technologies, completions, workovers, well interventions, wells services, extended-reach drilling (ERD), high temperature high pressure wells (HPHT)& directional drilling technology and is familiar with jackups, semisubs, tender-assisted rigs, hydraulic workover units (HWU), onshore rigs and drill ships (Noble Bully). Most of his career has been in Malaysia with short stints in Norway and India and his work has taken him to Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and Holland, giving him a global perspective. He is a team player able to work in a multi-cultural environment who has been involved in aspects of field development planning, well engineering, wellsite operation (offshore and onshore) and in exploration, development and operations phases of well engineering including, well integrity assessments, well lifecycle processes and is familiar with Well Integrity Management Systems (WIM), Well Head Procedures, WIMS Well Failure Models, Well Integrity Management Tools Description (WIMTD). As a recent graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam under the course of Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Oil and Gas, I am eager to bring my multidisciplinary expertise across upstream, midstream and downstream operations. My proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Aspen Hysys, Microsoft Office, Matlab, Questor and Petrel E&P, coupled with my strong analytical and decision-making abilities. During my internship with Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd’s Development Project Directorate (DPD), I gained practical experience in gas quality evaluation, process control and field data management, contributing to key projects such as the Zero Emission Unconventional Power Station (ZEUS) initiative and the Sepat Project. At the same time, my academic journey allowed me to strengthen my research and problem-solving skills through my final year project on impacts of HPAM concentrations in ultralow salinity formation water for potential enhanced oil recovery application. I also broadened my technical and analytical capabilities through participation in the Field Development Plan (Sayong Field - BIGST) and was honoured to receive a Gold Medal for innovation of Multifunction Hexapod at the Virtual Asia Innovation Show (VAIS).
