Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Risk Engineer to deliver advanced HSE risk assessments and safety studies for complex upstream/downstream oil & gas and energy projects. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this full-time mission requires deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and safety toolsets.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct and deliver full-scope HSE risk assessments and safety studies
- Lead or support FEA, QRA, CFA, ESSA, EERA, TRIA, SGIA, DHSE/OHSE CASE, SCE-PS DORA, NFHA, ALARP, and Dispersion/Radiation studies
- Develop and maintain custom spreadsheets for safety analysis documentation
- Provide input or support in CFD studies (optional but advantageous)
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and project-specific HSE standards and guidelines
- Generate clear, concise technical reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Job Requirements
- Minimum 12 years' experience in oil & gas (upstream/downstream), petrochemical, or energy projects
- Strong command of PHAST, FLARESIM, SAFETI, BOWTIE XP, and SHELL FRED
- Excellent knowledge of HSE risk methodologies and safety study frameworks

Key Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering support throughout the detailed design phase of a brownfield project.

Scope
