Provide technical leadership and advisory role to the Production Technology team and broader asset team.
Drive the technical development, mentorship and performance of the Production Technologist team.
Act as the technical focal point for production-related projects, studies and field development planning.
Lead, execute and quality-assure the development of short-term and long-term production forecasts using GAP network models; coach team members towards independent proficiency.
Lead the technical review and endorsement of well intervention proposals and post-job evaluations.
Maximize hydrocarbon production through systematic well reviews, network reviews, diagnostics and optimization strategies.
Evaluate and perform screening economics for new technology applications.
Oversee monthly well test validation and issuance of production target letters.
Review and validate well technical potentials, identify underperformance causes, and unlock production enhancement opportunities.
Identify formation damage and assessment of stimulation requirements. Design well treatment recommendations.
Manage sand production including design and recommendation of sand production monitoring systems and erosional velocity analysis and optimization.
Perform well testing (production and injection) design and interpretation.
Interpret production logs and make recommendations based on the analysis.
EXPERIENCE
15+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas, focusing on Production Technology, Petroleum Engineering and Production Operations.
At least 10 years of experience in a leadership or advisory role in Production Technology.
Demonstrated experience across both brownfield optimization and greenfield development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
