Position: Engineering Manager (E&I / Process) – Contract (2–3 Months)
Overview
Our client is currently looking for an Engineering Manager to support ongoing project activities on a short-term basis (2–3 months).
This role will focus on coordinating engineering deliverables and supporting site execution, particularly across E&I and/or process disciplines, with involvement in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities across E&I and/or process disciplines to ensure alignment with project requirements and schedule
- Act as the interface between engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams
- Review and ensure quality of engineering deliverables, technical queries, and vendor documentation
- Support site execution activities, including troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
- Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including system completion, testing, and handover
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable standards
- Provide technical guidance to contractors and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor progress and highlight risks, delays, and interface issues to project stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas / energy projects
- Strong background in detailed engineering, with exposure to E&I and/or process discipline
- Proven experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up support
- Experience working across EPCC / EPCIC projects, ideally with exposure to brownfield or offshore environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Good understanding of operations and maintenance considerations during project execution
- Familiar with relevant codes, standards, and industry practices
Preferred
- Prior experience in FPSO / offshore facilities / marginal field developments
- Experience in Malaysia-based projects or similar operating environments
- Ability to mobilise immediately or within short notice (latest end-April)
