About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have 8 to 14 years of experience and be well-versed in structural analysis, with a particular focus on lifting analysis, loadout analysis, fatigue analysis, and blast analysis. This role requires a professional who can ensure the integrity and safety of offshore structures and contribute to the successful execution of complex engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee detailed structural analysis, including lifting analysis, loadout analysis, fatigue analysis, and blast analysis, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client requirements.
- Provide expert engineering support for topside design, including the development of structural solutions that are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Work on the design, analysis, and assessment of offshore structures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in the industry.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Interface with project management, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure structural design intent is met.
- Lead technical reviews and provide recommendations to improve design safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. Ensure that all engineering deliverables are consistent with the project specifications and client expectations.
- Prepare and review detailed engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and thorough.
Key Requirements:
- 8 to 14 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a strong emphasis on offshore structures and topsides.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with lifting analysis, loadout analysis, fatigue analysis, and blast analysis.
- Frequent user of SESAM and Abaqus or Ansys.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). A master’s degree or additional certifications in structural engineering would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of offshore oil and gas industry standards, including DNV, API, ISO, and other relevant guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex engineering concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing engineering challenges.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple tasks, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
