Job Description: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Engineer for Industrial Projects (Fives)
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Engineer to join our dynamic team at Fives, an industrial engineering group renowned for its large-scale industrial projects. This role involves conducting detailed environmental assessments to ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments: Lead the process of conducting comprehensive EIAs for various industrial projects. This includes identifying potential environmental impacts, evaluating their severity, and developing mitigation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines at both national and international levels.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government bodies, environmental agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. Address concerns and provide detailed reports and presentations when required.
Sustainability Initiatives: Integrate sustainable practices into project planning and execution. Advocate for eco-friendly technologies and processes within the project scope.
Risk Management: Identify environmental risks associated with project activities and develop effective risk management strategies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of EIA activities and findings. Prepare and submit EIA reports and other related documents to relevant authorities.
Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest developments in environmental policies, technologies, and best practices relevant to industrial engineering.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in conducting EIAs for large-scale industrial projects.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools used for EIA.
