Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Field Engineer (Onshore) with more than 7 years of expertise, including offshore and design experience, to oversee field engineering activities for an onshore/brownfield gas development project in South Sumatra, Indonesia. This role is a direct contract with our client, starting in January 2025, and offers a long-term opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise on-site engineering activities to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
- Provide technical support for construction and commissioning phases of onshore/brownfield gas development projects.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and project teams to address field-related engineering challenges.
- Review and interpret design documents, ensuring their applicability in field operations.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Facilitate problem resolution for design or execution issues encountered during field operations.
- Ensure the proper implementation of engineering modifications or revisions during the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed field reports, documentation, and updates for stakeholders.
- Participate in risk assessments and provide input to HSE initiatives at the project site.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and field staff.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
- More than 7 years of field engineering experience, with offshore and design exposure.
- Proven expertise in onshore and brownfield gas development projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction and field engineering practices and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, design documents, and engineering specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to field conditions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software.
- Willingness to be based on-site in South Sumatra, Indonesia, for the duration of the project.
