About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Area Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities for a designated project area within large-scale engineering and energy projects. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services while supporting overall project objectives.


This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management, and extensive experience managing procurement activities in complex EPC or Oil & Gas projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for the assigned project area.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract award.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project schedules and technical requirements.
  • Conduct supplier market analysis and identify qualified vendors to support project execution.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve the best value while ensuring quality, delivery, and contractual compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues to minimize project risks.
  • Track procurement progress, cost performance, and delivery schedules, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, contractual obligations, and industry regulations.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in procurement management within large-scale EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, or Industrial projects.
  • Strong experience managing procurement activities for project-specific scopes.
  • Excellent negotiation, commercial, and contract management skills.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Experience evaluating suppliers, conducting commercial bid analysis, and managing vendor performance.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
