Project: Towing and mooring hook-up of 3 floating units (Floating Wind platform) – Mediterranean Sea // offshore campaign End 2024/2025


Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Offshore Installation Method Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a between 5 to 15 years of experience in the oil and gas or renewable energy industries, with a strong background in maritime operations. As an Offshore Installation Method Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing offshore operation methods and procedures, supervising draftsmen in the creation of installation-related drawings, and engineering rigging/slinging systems. Additionally, you will be required to liaise with third parties such as clients, certification/classification bodies, and Marine Warranty Surveyors to ensure project success.

Contractor/1y with possible extension or employement (direct)


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and draft offshore operation methods and procedures.
  • Supervise draftsmen in creating installation-related drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Engineer rigging/slinging systems, including sizing, selection, and writing specifications.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients, certification/classification bodies, and Marine Warranty Surveyors.
  • Perform offshore installation analyses using software such as OrcaFlex or DeepLines (bonus).


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 (even 15) years of experience in the oil and gas or renewable energy industries and maritime operations.
  • At least 2, 3 relevant experience in towing or mooring hook up operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent master's degree.
  • Proficiency in redaction of offshore operation methods and procedures.
  • Experience in supervising draftsmen and creating installation-related drawings.
  • Strong engineering background with the ability to engineer rigging/slinging systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for discussing with third parties.
  • Experience with OrcaFlex or DeepLines software for offshore installation analyses (bonus).
  • English mandatory, French would be a plus.
  • Offshore experience appreciated but not mandatory
