Scope of Work

Seeking a Naval Architecture Engineer to support operations on the Jasmine FPSO. The role is based in Kuala Lumpur and requires expertise in mooring systems, marine calculations, and structural integrity assessments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mooring system analysis, including strength and fatigue assessments.
  • Conduct marine calculations, including hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and stability assessments.
  • Evaluate structural integrity and perform modifications as needed to maintain FPSO operability.
  • Support the design, installation, and maintenance of marine and hull systems.
  • Provide engineering support for inspection, repair, and life extension of FPSO structures.
  • Interface with classification societies, regulatory bodies, and third-party consultants for compliance.
  • Support offshore operations, troubleshooting, and risk assessments as required.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, drawings, and specifications for marine structures and systems.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in naval architecture, preferably in FPSO, offshore structures, or floating systems.
  • Strong expertise in mooring system design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in marine calculations, including hydrostatics, stability, and structural analysis.
  • Experience with marine classification rules and offshore industry standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, API).
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as MOSES, OrcaFlex, ANSYS, or similar tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with FPSO or offshore floating facilities.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis and fatigue assessments for offshore structures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
