Scope of Work
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Offshore Drilling Focal Point for rig-based activities and execution.
Oversee all aspects of offshore drilling operations, from rig mobilization to well delivery and demobilization.
Lead multi-disciplinary rig teams including Drilling Engineers, Supervisors, Logistics, and HSE.
Ensure drilling programs are executed according to the well design, procedures, and HSSE standards.
Manage contractor performance, rig audits, equipment readiness, and troubleshooting of operational challenges.
Liaise closely with MPM (Malaysia Petroleum Management), PETRONAS, and internal stakeholders for approvals and compliance.
Drive operational excellence and promote a strong safety culture aligned with company’s offshore performance metrics.
Minimum Requirements:
Malaysian citizen.
Minimum 20 years of experience in Drilling, including at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Offshore Lead role.
Extensive experience in offshore environments, particularly with jack-up rigs or tender assist rigs.
Proven leadership in high-pressure drilling environments within PSC frameworks (e.g., SK or PM blocks).
Familiarity with PETRONAS licensing, MPM reporting systems, and offshore permit processes.
Valid offshore survival certifications (BOSIET with CA-EBS, H2S, OGUK medical).
Strong knowledge of well control (IWCF Supervisor Level – valid).
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
