Scope of Work


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Offshore Drilling Focal Point for rig-based activities and execution.
  • Oversee all aspects of offshore drilling operations, from rig mobilization to well delivery and demobilization.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary rig teams including Drilling Engineers, Supervisors, Logistics, and HSE.
  • Ensure drilling programs are executed according to the well design, procedures, and HSSE standards.
  • Manage contractor performance, rig audits, equipment readiness, and troubleshooting of operational challenges.
  • Liaise closely with MPM (Malaysia Petroleum Management), PETRONAS, and internal stakeholders for approvals and compliance.
  • Drive operational excellence and promote a strong safety culture aligned with company’s offshore performance metrics.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in Drilling, including at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Offshore Lead role.
  • Extensive experience in offshore environments, particularly with jack-up rigs or tender assist rigs.
  • Proven leadership in high-pressure drilling environments within PSC frameworks (e.g., SK or PM blocks).
  • Familiarity with PETRONAS licensing, MPM reporting systems, and offshore permit processes.
  • Valid offshore survival certifications (BOSIET with CA-EBS, H2S, OGUK medical).
  • Strong knowledge of well control (IWCF Supervisor Level – valid).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
