Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Onshore) to join a brownfield gas development project in South Sumatra, Indonesia. The role requires more than 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering with expertise in offshore and onshore design. This long-term project begins in January 2025 and offers a direct contract with the end client.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed mechanical design packages for onshore gas processing facilities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and perform engineering analysis for brownfield modifications.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into project workflows.
- Oversee vendor selection, procurement processes, and equipment inspection for compliance.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- Perform risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for mechanical systems.
- Ensure project deliverables are met within deadlines and budgets.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to maintain high engineering standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- More than 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering with offshore and onshore design expertise.
- Proven experience in brownfield gas development projects is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in mechanical design tools and relevant software.
- Solid knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in South Sumatra and adapt to a long-term project environment.
