Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time geological support for drilling operations, including wellsite monitoring, data interpretation, and formation evaluation.
- Ensure accurate well placement in line with subsurface targets and reservoir management objectives.
- Collaborate closely with drilling and subsurface teams to optimise drilling programmes.
- Monitor geological hazards and provide timely recommendations to mitigate operational risks.
- Prepare and review geological reports, daily updates, and end-of-well documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements during operations.
- Contribute to post-drilling reviews and lessons learned sessions to enhance continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related discipline.
- 10–15 years of experience in operational geology within upstream oil & gas.
- Proven track record in wellsite geology, mudlogging, LWD/MWD data interpretation, and pore pressure evaluation.
- Proficiency with Trinity and Petromod software for operational geoscience workflows.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with ability to interface with multidisciplinary teams.
