Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Steam Turbine Expert/Consultant/Specialist to oversee and provide technical consultation for a Steam Turbine Repair and Assembly project at TNB Manjung Power Plant. The engagement is for a duration of 4-5 months. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the repair and assembly work conducted by the contractor meets industry standards and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Witness the Steam Turbine Repair and Assembly process.
- Provide technical consultation on repair and assembly approaches to the contractor.
- Review the work procedure provided by the contractor.
- Advise on effective approaches and solutions for repair and assembly work.
- Provide active explanations and overviews of contractor work against industry standards.
- Ensure work done by the contractor adheres to best industrial practices.
- Act on behalf of the client to ensure the quality of work meets provided procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in steam turbine repair and assembly.
- Extensive knowledge of steam turbine systems and industry standards.
- Strong technical consultation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to review and assess work procedures and provide actionable feedback.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience working in power plant environments, preferably with TNB Manjung Power Plant.
- Ability to start immediately and commit to a 4-5 month project duration.
