About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Lead Electrical Engineer to support a CCGT power plant project in Miri under a globally recognized EPC consultancy. This position plays a key role in ensuring successful delivery of electrical engineering packages from design through commissioning and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all electrical engineering aspects of the CCGT power plant project.
• Oversee the review and validation of electrical design documents, specifications, and drawings from EPC contractors and vendors.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet project timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and project controls.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications, vendor data, and FAT/SAT processes.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulatory codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE, Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and risk assessments.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers or site teams.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in CCGT or thermal power plant environments.
• Proven expertise in high-voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution.
• Solid understanding of EPC workflows and electrical engineering deliverables.
• Previous experience working with international EPC or owner’s engineering teams is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to be based full-time on-site in Miri.
