Scope of Work

2.1 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepare contract and purchasing scopes of work.
  • Liaise with other units or departments in order to obtain information related to production.
  • Assist, where possible, in the development and implementation of Clients' standardized business processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Assist the facility and support personnel with preparation and implementation of short- and medium-term facility plans.
  • Prepare and coordinates reports for management, Joint Venture Partners and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the operability of the Corporate Production Database for reporting purposes.
  • Assist maintenance section by taking action on the E&I related engineering Modification Change Requests (MCR). Close out of MCRs in (Computerized Asset Maintenance Management Systems) CAMMS where assigned responsibility.
  • Monitor and liaise with Logistics to ensure production materials meet the required delivery schedules and do not impact production.

2.2 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate an Engineering Team to provide:
  • Full technical services to the production operations team to ensure continued hydrocarbon production in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Brownfield technical services to the production operations team.
  • Commissioning and startup teams to Production Department on MCR work.
  • Specialist optimization team to analyze and resolve operational production issues.
  • Ensure that all activities that are conducted by E & I engineering support team comply with all legal and Company requirements.
  • Prepare and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) relevant to activities conducted by E & I engineering support team in accordance with Client’s business processes.
  • Schedule technical activities and facilities maintenance to support oil and gas production.
  • Provide support, guidance and training to the subordinate (if any) for their career development and to enhance their knowledge and technical skills in project contract administration management area.
  • Performs non-routine tasks and attends such meetings as directed by the Facilities Engineering Manager or as opportunity presents, in order to meet Company objectives. Ensures that his Superior and other relevant people are kept informed of all major opportunities, developments or problems, which will impact on the business.


3. KEY AUTHORITIES

  • As Staff Engineer, E&I free to act within the authorities granted by the Department Manager.
  • Budgetary freedom is within limits specified by the Clients
  • Preparing, designing and supervising offshore work programs for development and production operations.
  • Responsible for scheduling technical activities and facilities maintenance to support oil and gas production.
  • Ensuring that all activities comply with all Company, PETRONAS, and Government requirements and regulations.


4. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities are:

  • Shared responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all persons at any Operations or Construction Site, including staff, contractors and visitors and for local environmental safety.
  • Ensuring that the MRS work activities are performed in accordance with the applicable Management System, Clients Policies, Procedures, work instructions and regulatory requirements.
  • Motivate, consult with and ensure the participation of the MRS support services and visiting contractors, in the ongoing development and implementation of safety at the workplace.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to the Department Manager. Ensure reports are legible, comprehensive and timely, and any additional information pertinent to the report is attached as per Management System Procedure.


5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, majoring in electrical, or instrument engineering.
  • Has working knowledge of offshore operations engineering and all related matters e.g. equipment, materials procedures, safety etc.
  • Have detailed knowledge of production operations (min 7 years).
  • Self motivated.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • A sound knowledge of the business drivers affecting clients.
  • Valid BOSET / HUET training.
  • Control of Major Emergencies training.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Have minimum 7 years working experience in the relevant areas of production engineering.
