Role Overview
The Senior Project Engineer supports the execution of midstream oil & gas projects, working across multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with technical and commercial objectives. The role focuses on project coordination, interface management, and execution oversight across midstream-type assets and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior project engineering support across project planning, execution, and delivery phases
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs related to midstream facilities, pipelines, terminals, and associated infrastructure
- Review and manage engineering deliverables, technical submissions, and contractor documentation
- Act as a key interface between engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and external parties
- Track project schedules, progress, risks, and action items, proposing mitigation where required
- Support cost control, change management, and project reporting activities
- Participate in technical reviews, constructability discussions, and project coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with company standards, HSSE requirements, and applicable codes and regulations
- Support project close-out, documentation completeness, and handover readiness
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas or energy project execution, with exposure to midstream-type projects.
- Strong experience in oil & gas or energy project execution environments
- Exposure to midstream-type projects such as pipelines, terminals, onshore facilities, or infrastructure
- Experience working with EPCs, PMCs, contractors, or operator project teams
- Ability to manage interfaces and challenge technical solutions from an execution perspective
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
