Scope of Work


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize well programs, drilling plans, and AFE proposals for offshore campaigns.
  • Conduct detailed engineering studies including casing design, hydraulics modelling, torque and drag, and well integrity analysis.
  • Ensure the use of best-in-class technologies and methodologies to improve cost and performance outcomes.
  • Coordinate with service providers and drilling contractors during the planning phase.
  • Generate key documentation such as Basis of Design (BoD), Drill Well on Paper (DWOP), and End of Well Reports (EOWR).
  • Monitor and support offshore execution, providing real-time engineering advice and troubleshooting support.
  • Liaise with government regulators and JV partners for necessary approvals and updates.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in drilling engineering, with at least 8 years on offshore development wells.
  • Familiarity with offshore drilling assets in Malaysia, particularly high-inclination or ERD wells in PM/SK basins.
  • Strong analytical capabilities using drilling software (Landmark, WellCat, Compass, etc.).
  • Valid IWCF (Level 4 preferred), and offshore safety certifications (BOSIET, H2S).
  • Experience working within a PSC/MPM regulatory environment and knowledge of reporting protocols.
  • Strong team collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.
